Visit of H.E. the Prime Minister of Egypt to Germany

H.E. the Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, has just completed his visit to Germany during 23-26 June 2019. During this visit he was accompanied by a high level delegation of government officials comprising of the following Ministers; Dr. Shaker Markaby – Minister of Electricity, Dr. Sahar Nasr – Minister of Investment and International Cooperation, Eng. Tarek El Molla – Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Dr. Amr Tallat – Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Amr Nassar - Minister of Trade and Industry, and Eng. Kamel Al-Wazir - Minister of Transportation, Admiral Abdel Moneim Al-Tarras - Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization. He was also accompanied by a large high level business delegation headed by Eng. Mohamed El Sewedy - President of the Federation of Industries and Mr. Ahmed El Wakil - President of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce.

The visit was composed of visits to both Stuttgart and Berlin. During the visit to Stuttgart, the delegation toured the factories of Bosch and Mercedes Benz, in addition to witnessing the signature of two memorandums of understanding with the two companies in order to invest into Egypt.

H.E. the Prime Minister arrived the next day to Berlin to participate in the 22nd session of the Arab-German economic forum organized by Ghorfa, as Guest of Honor, with Egypt being partner country in the current session, as well as to holding meetings with German officials, and Businessmen. He met bilaterally with H.E. Peter Altmaier, Federal Minister of Economic Affairs and Energy, and other German Ministers, in addition to several of Germany’s top companies. He also held a meeting with the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) to discuss potentials of manufacturing of car components in Egypt. Additionally, he attended a joint roundtable meeting, organized by NMI (North Africa Middle East Initiative) in cooperation with Ghorfa, with the top German businessmen that are already investing in Egypt, and are interested in increasing their investments.
